Promotion Policy
The school follows a Uniform System of Assessment wherein each student is assessed on various parameters such as :
- Scholastics (cognitive skills ------ academic performance)
- Co scholastics A (participation in activities, work experience, physical education, art education, health and wellness, environmental sensitivity, value education etc)
- Co scholastics B (attitudes and other life skills such as emotionalskills, social skills, values)
- Personality traits such as -- general deportment, code of conduct, sense of responsibility, attitude towards school rules and activities, environmental consciousness, community services ,shram daan etc )
- The Assessment scheme for classes IV-VIII has been designed on term Assessment basis with gradual increase in the learning assessment as the student move forwards. This prepares the student to cover the whole syl;labus of the academic year and face the challenge of class X Board Examination .
LKG to class III
- Students are assessed on a five point scale in both scholastics and co scholastic areas
- Exceptional cases such as extremely slow learners, if any are discussed with parents and a mutual decision is taken, otherwise children are not held back.
- A Record of profile and anecdotal record is maintained for each student .
Class IV - V
- Students are assessed on a seven point grade in both scholastics and co scholastic areas
- A student must score the minimum passing grades in both Periodic and Term Exams.
- Each student must have at least 75% attendance.
- A Profile cum anecdotal record is maintained for each student .
Class VI - VIII
- Students are assessed on the following grade system
- Scholastics :-- Eight point scale
- Co –scholastics :-- five point scale
- Each student must have at least 75% attendance.
- Each student must score the minimum qualifying grade in each area of scholastics and co scholastics (Periodic and Term Exams.)
- 75% attendance is mandatory for promotion to next class
- A Profile cum anecdotal record is maintained for each student.
Class IX - X : ( as per CBSE norms)
- Scholastic areas :-- Eight point grade scale
- Co –scholastic areas :-- five point scale
- Co scholastic ( B—dealing with life skills): three point scale
- 75% attendance is mandatory for promotion to next class
- Passing in each subject is mandatory.
Class XI – XII : ( as per CBSE norms)
- Marks cum grades are reflected in report cards as per CBSE rules
- A student must pass in Theory and Practical’s separately in order to be promoted.
- 75% attendance is mandatory for promotion to the next class.
