Good morning everyone… It is rightly said that Education is an endless journey through knowledge & enlightenment. We at VBPS truly believe in building the character of our students not only in academics but also in co-curricular activities. Events like these allow us to reflect and think through the past year and I am glad that I have the opportunity to share more with you today. The big picture view of our performance has been very pleasantly optimistic and progressive. I'm grateful to my teachers and students who've stepped up their work ethic, and have been creative with their energy and approach towards old and new projects. Some very special achievements have resulted from this unique collaboration. I'll also like to acknowledge the school management and board, that has enabled us to create spaces which have enabled us to stay creative and ahead of the curve. This is a celebration of the past year and also an indication of what more we can expect from 2018. We begin with the Board Results. This year 241 students took their exam for Class X and 237 for Class XII. It gives me pleasure to share with you that our results have been excellent in both. The toppers of Class XII were Vibhu Agrawal with 98.2% in the Science Stream. Eshita Bhat was the topper of Commerce stream with 97.8%, and Saumya Devrani was the topper of Humanities stream with 99%. The toppers of Class X were Snigdha Basu with 99.4%, Kishita Mirg with 99% and Honey Mann with 98.6%.

Our toppers Snigdha Basu, Kishita Mirg and Saumya Devrani are likely to be invited by the Ministry of HRD (DHE), Govt. of India to witness the Republic Day Parade on 26.01.2019.

Our major achievements:
A team of five girls, Aditi Jain, Shraddha Chugh, Kritika Sharma, Shriya Shukla and Sneha Agarwal and their coach, Mrs. Archana Jain, our Senior Computer teacher did India proud as they won top honours at World Technovation Summit 2018, the world’s largest tech entrepreneurship program for girls held in the USA between 6th Aug and 9th Aug 2018. The Indian contingent, “The Cantavits”, beat out participants from 115 countries and were declared winners and won the Gold Medal in the Senior Division during the ‘Global Innovation Celebration’ held at San Jose, California on Aug 9, 2018.They were selected from 2200 mobile application developers to represent India at the World Pitch Summit.

The mBillionth Award South Asia is presented each year since 2010 for socially valuable innovations in mobile communications in South Asia. Mrigank Pawagi was one of the winners in the U-18 ‘Media and Entertainment’ Category. The scheme is run by the Digital Empowerment Foundation, an Indian NGO seeking to improve access to and usage of digital communications. This year there were 154 good nominations across 10 categories.

Our students Einstein of Class VI, Kashvi Gupta of Class VII, Amritansh Nigam of Class VIII, Mrigank Pawagi of Class IX, and Ayush Jadaun of Class X have been selected for the Inspire Award 2018-19. They have received a cash reward of Rs.10,000/- each for preparation of Science Project / model and to participate in the District level Exhibition & Project competition to be organized by the District Education Authority.

Mrigank Pawagi of Class VIII has developed an Android App that teacher Internet Safety to Netizens. His app ‘Webme’ was chosen as one of the winners of the third edition of the Google Web Rangers Contest by Google India on 6th February 2018. Out of 5000 projects, campaigns and posters from across the country, Mrigank Pawagi was judged one of the three winners and received a Tablet and a certificate of appreciation from Google India.

Snigdha Basu of Class XI was awarded ‘Times NIE Student of the Year Award’ by NIE Times of India and was given a Trophy, Certificate of Excellence and Rs. 1,000/- gift voucher.

18 students of Class VIII & IX will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 2,500/- each by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Govt. of India for their proficiency in Sanskrit language.

In Sports and games, our students have been bringing accolades in different disciplines.

Ankit Rai and Durgesh Bhatt of Class X played in Under-16 UPCA matches at Mandal level where top 120 cricketers from U.P. were selected for a camp held at Kanpur. Ankit Rai has been selected in the Under 16 UP Cricket Team.

In the CBSE U.P. and Uttarakhand State Athletics Meet 2018 held at Salwan Public School, Ghaziabad, Kanishk Tomar secured the 1st position in 5000 mts Race.

Kanishk Tomar of Class IX G participated in the 5000 mts Race in the CBSE National Athletics Meet 2018 held at Davangere, Karnataka and secured the 8th Rank.

Bharanyu Bansal of Class X has signed a one year contract with Delhi Soccer Association ‘India Youth Soccer Club’ and will play in all upcoming League matches as a Professional Player.

Our Badminton Champ, Anusha Goel has been ranked No.1 in the U.P. State Girls Doubles Under 19 Category. She also holds an All India Ranking – 26 in the Girls Doubles Under 19 Category.

Shehjar Chowdhury has been selected to play in Junior Nationals to be held in Lucknow from 16th December in Singles and Doubles U-19 Category.

In the CBSE National Badminton Championship held at Alwar, Rajasthan (girls Under 19 category), Anusha Goel of Class XI G and Shehjar Choudhary of IX F secured the III position in the Team Championship. Anusha Goel secured the second position in the singles Badminton Championship.

Shehjar Chowdhury (Class IX) brought laurels to the school by securing herself a gold medal (girls doubles under 17 category) and a silver medal (girls doubles under 15 category) in the prestigious Yo Gems District Badminton Championship.

In the U.P. State Badminton Championship 2018 held at Saharanpur, U.P. Anusha Goel and Shehjar Chowdhary bagged the Winner’s Championship in the Under 16 girls category.

Shreya Chaudhary participated in the U.P. State Youth Basketball Championship organized by District Basketball Association, Meerut and won a second place in that tournament.

In the 63rd School National Games (Athletics) Deepak Sharma of XII E participated in the 400 Mts Race and Long Jump organized by School Games Federation of India

Rashi Balooni secured the 3rd position in Discuss Throw in the CBSE U.P. State Athletics Meet 2017-18.

All India 7-A Side Soccer (Football) Super National League Tournament 2017-18 organised by 7-A Side Soccer (Football) Association, Gwalior M.P. Our school players, Ripu Dhaman Singh of Class XI, Anshul Dhyani of Class XI and Bharanyu Bansal of Class X took part in the National League Tournament 2018 and were declared winners of the U.P. Football Championship.

Shreya Choudhary and Manya Choudhary participated in the U.P. State Basketball Championship.

The 5th Major Dhyan Chand Inter-school Cross Country Championship 2018 was held on 29th August 2018, organized by District Athletics Association and SSCA, Noida. 31 schools of NCR participated.

Kanishk Tomar of IX G secured the 1st position and Sarthak Katiyar of Class XI secured the IV position in the Cross Country Race. VBPS Noida has been declared overall Winners for the 4th consecutive year in the Cross Country Boys Championship. Girls Cross Country team have been the overall Runners Up for the last 5 years.

The School India Cup Season 3 Football Tournament was held from 3rd Oct to 12th Oct 2018 organised by SSPF India. In the under 15 Boys category, VBPS Football team were the 2nd Runner’s Up. 3 players of VBPS – Vidant Dubey of IX C, Arnav Kantwal of X G and Udit Pratap Singh of IX B were selected for School India Cup Season 3 State Team.

In the Shashikant Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament 2018 organised by District Cricket Association, G.B. Nagar from 5th October to 28th October 2018, VBPS, Noida was declared Runner’s Up.

In the School Sports Promotion Foundation Cricket Tournament 2018, VBPS, Noida was declared winners of the Championship.

CBSE UP and Uttarakhand State Athletics Meet 2018 at Salwan School, Tronica City Ghaziabad, U.P. was held from 5th to 7th Oct 2018. Kanishk Tomar secured the 1st position in 5000 mts race.

CBSE North Zone-I Dehradun Region Skating Championship 2018 held from 24th to 28th Oct 2018, Aarna Gupta secured 2nd position in 300 mts Time trial and 1st position in 1000 mts. Aaradhya Gupta secured 1st position in 1000 mtrs and 3rd position in 500 mtrs. Ayaansh Saini secured 3rd position in 300 mtrs.

Aarna Gupta and Aaradhya Gupta participated in the CBSE National level Skating Championship held at Raipur from 23rd to 30th Nov 2018.

Three Athletes from Vishwa Bharati Public School, Noida have been selected for the 16th National Inter-District Junior Athletics Meet 2018. 1. Harsh Saini of X F for Discuss Throw under 16 years boys. 2. Kanishk Tomar of IX G 1000 mtrs Race Under 16 boys category. 3. Suhani Prabhakar of Class IX 400 Mts Race under 16 Girls category which was held at Tirupati (A.P.) from 28th Nov to 6th Dec 2018.

It is a matter of great pride that the Interact Club of our school received The Platinum Award for its outstanding contribution towards community service.

Students showed remarkable performance in various Olympiads they participated in during the session 2017-18.

In the Technothlon International School Championship hosted by Techniche, IIT Guwahati, Khushi Bhatt and Navya Gupta secured 79th Rank in the All India Junior Squad.

In addition to this, our students have been doing remarkably well and winning laurels for school at various Interschool level competitions held at different schools of Delhi & NCR.

AWARDS:
The school follows a policy of encouraging its outstanding students in many ways. The coveted S. N. Ganju Award for Excellence was conferred upon Dhruv Rawat of Class XI for his all-round achievements. He received a medal, a certificate of appreciation, a citation and a cash prize of Rs 10,000.

The proud recipient of the S. K. Shah Award for Academic Excellence was Shriram T.G. of Class XI for having secured the highest percentage in Class X in the previous academic session. She received a citation, certificate and a cash award of Rs. 6000/-.

Besides these two major awards, the school gives away an amount of Rs. 10 lacs to meritorious students of various categories.

I would like to take this opportunity to convey my gratitude to our various patrons who always remained forthcoming in extending assistance and encouragement to our deserving students.

Nairita Guha of Class IX has won the 2nd prize in the Bureau of Energy Efficiency State Level Painting competition on Energy Conservation – 2018 organised by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and won a cash prize of Rs. 15,000/- and a trophy. She has been selected for the National Level Painting Competition – 2018 to be held on 14th Dec 2018. In the same competition, Anika Mittal of Class V has secured the consolation prize and won a cash prize of Rs. 5,000/- and a trophy.

Five students, Nairita Guha of Class IX, Anushka Sharma of Class VIII, Aishwarya Sinha of Class VIII, Anika Mittal of Class V, and Dev Pratap Panda of Class V have been selected for the State Level Art Competition organized by Ministry of Energy (NTPC).

We have been organizing number of inter school competitions at our school. The major events have been World Earth Day, Resplendence, Radiance, S. N. Ganju Memorial English debate, wherein 20-25 schools participate every time.

Besides the inter school events, no. of activities listed in our school calendar are organised as a routine.

In our pursuit to provide a safe protective we are up scaling our security system by installing 50 additional CCTV cameras.

We have added 16 smart boards this session and installation of another 16 is in the pipeline. 2 more buses have been added to the existing fleet of school buses.

The school ERP solution has been introduced with online fee payment facility though we started the facility from 17th January 2018, only, the response of our enthusiastic young parents has been overwhelming.

The school is going to be an 8 sectioned one very soon, therefore, a new block with new science labs and class rooms is coming up.

We believe that providing quality education is a process therefore, there is always scope for much more to be done. The school is marching on in its pursuit of excellence with the patronage of its well wishers committed management and teachers and a wonderful parent community.
